Peep sight on a bow11/11/2023 ![]() You will need a peep sight, bow string serving threads, a bowstring serving jig or tool, scissors or wire cutters and pliers.Step 1: Gather the necessary tools and supplies.Insert both tubes into place – making sure their lengths line up correctly – then twist them together until tight before cutting any excess material away using scissors (as close as possible without damaging anything else).ħ Finally, tighten down all loose strands by pulling hard and evenly on each sides’ threads until secure -and there you have it: Your own custom installed Peep Sight! Cut out two pieces of tubing according to these marks they should be slightly longer than what’s needed for installation but not too long as otherwise there might not be enough tension when tying them down tightly against each other once inserted into place around strings’ servings (this will ensure stability).Ħ. Mark off 2-3 spots on either side with a permanent marker, then remove it from your bowstring before starting to install your peep sight properly onto it (make sure this spot lines up with your desired peep height).ĥ. Pull on both ends of the floss/thread until about 1-2 inches are visible outside of each side of your string, then place it over one limb so that you can easily adjust it later if needed.Ĥ. Thread one end of a dental floss or thread through the small hole in the peep sight, then tie an overhand knot at least 4 inches from its end.ģ. ![]() Ensure that the peep sight is the right size for your string and bow setup by measuring the distance between the center serving and where you’d like to install it.Ģ.
